About Me
Meet Dustin Horvath: Founder of PCH Consulting, LLC
From Undiagnosed ADHD to Academic Success
My journey with ADHD began long before I had a name for it. Like many students, I went undiagnosed and unsupported until my sophomore year of high school. That turning point came when I found the right college and a transformative academic support program. That experience didn't just help me graduate—it changed the entire trajectory of my life.
Driven by that transformation, I dedicated my career to education and advocacy. I earned dual graduate degrees in Literacy and School Counseling and spent years teaching special education. Eventually, I returned to my roots, serving as the Director of the very same collegiate support program that helped me as a student, while also teaching adolescent psychology as an adjunct professor.
Empowering High School Students for Postsecondary Success
Twenty years ago, I knew I wanted to help people; today, that passion is the foundation of PCH Consulting, LLC. I started this business to provide the kind of life-changing support I received.
I specialize in helping high school students with ADHD and learning differences:
-
Self-Advocacy: Teaching students to own their story and ask for what they need.
-
Confidence Building: Strengthening their self-belief during the transition to adulthood.
-
Postsecondary Planning: Navigating the journey from high school to college or career with a clear, actionable strategy.
A Partnership Built on Insight and Transparency
While every ADHD experience is unique, my personal and professional background gives me deep insight into how neurodiversity impacts development. My approach is rooted in partnerships with a purpose. When you work with me, you can expect:
-
Nonjudgmental collaboration.
-
Total transparency.
-
Consistent, reliable support.
Tune In: The "ADHD in a HURRY!" Podcast
Beyond consulting, I am the creator and host of the ADHD in a HURRY! podcast. I designed this show to be the resource I wish I had 20 years ago—a place to destigmatize ADHD through stories, insights, and practical strategies.
-
Quick Hits: Most episodes are bite-sized (~10 minutes), perfect for the ADHD brain.
-
Expert Interviews: Longer episodes feature deep dives with neurodivergent individuals and industry professionals.
-
Community: A creative space for ADHDers and allies to connect and grow.
Whether through one-on-one consulting or the podcast, my goal is to help you or your student enhance their outlook on the future. Let’s plan your next chapter together.

My Story
I am an educator who has worked in every grade level from K-12 and taught various courses at the college level. Helping others genuinely makes me happy and excites me, and I hope to share that enthusiasm with you! I am an example of someone who was unsure about their future, got the support I needed, and learned more about myself along the way. I feel fortunate that I found my support, but I want to ensure that others get that same chance in their postsecondary journey.

In high school, I was finally tested for and got special educational services for ADHD. At the time, I couldn't see how having ADHD impacted me directly, but the more I looked at myself and my experiences, the more it started to make sense. I wasn't "dumb" or "lazy"; my brain works a little differently, and that's okay. Once I started forgiving myself a little more, I realized others faced similar experiences. I knew I wanted to be an important person for them, to help them academically, but also holistically as a person with a disability. I have dedicated my life to this ongoing pursuit and am proud of my accomplishments.

I am now a husband and a father to two wonderful daughters -- they are the namesake of my business. I want to be an excellent example to them by showing them that there are people in this world who help others. I want to instill in them the value of supporting others and getting support when needed. My lifelong goal is to model for them that learning, even when difficult, is a worthwhile experience. I want them to love themselves so they can see the good in others.

I believe everyone has a calling, and I intend to use mine to help as many young people as possible find theirs; your future planning will be enhanced with my help. I am committed to pushing others to be their best selves, fostering a sense of confidence, and giving them the tools needed to face life's challenges after high school. Coming from a place of ADHD does not make me a know-it-all, but I do have some relatable insights to share with and hear from others.
